I have been looking for a new laptop and I am interested in the R1E, W7S, and F9S.

The R1"F" was having some battery issues and didn't have the power I was looking for. Asus had announced the R1E (I know it's backward F -> E???) as a Santa Rosa version with other improvements.

However, it seemed delayed for some time.

I just called Portable One and they are in stock. Instead of reposting

Looks like a nice machine. Yes, the R1F did have battery issues... so did the V1J and so does V1S -- but on the V1S the issues are minor and reversible, in comparison to the V1J and R1F. You can hope it's the same for the R1F... or you can wait for a review :) but even in a review, the battery problems wouldn't come out unless someone would search specifically for them, knowing what they are expected to find.

I hope the R1E does not have the battery issue that the F had.

I am probably going to buy something this Friday...they question is W7S, F9S, or R1E?

Do you have any thoughts or suggestions?

I would suggest the W or R because of build quality. F-s aren't stellar (they aren't bad either, but the W and R are better).
