Hello,
i try to enable my Intel 3945 on Linux. I have the problem, that my wireless key on my keyboard is turned off.
See here (dmesg):
ipw3945: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
ipw3945: Radio Frequency Kill Switch is On:
Kill switch must be turned off for wireless networking to work.
The functionskeys on my R1F keyboard don't work on Linux. Did somebody have drivers for the functionskey (example: WLAN ON/OFF) for Linux?
Thanks for your help!
Best Regards
André Hartmann

Well if the switch is a toggle switch, shouldn't there be a way to toggle from software (such that the default state is "on" rather than "off")?
I don't know of any drivers for Linux... -
i dont have a rf1, but the wireless switch usually is a hardware button. there are no drivers necessary. just have it on when the ipw3945 module is loaded.
