What do we know about the R1F?
(W3J is still rocking the house...!)

13.3" Convertable...... hinge design is borrowed from Fujitsu...... it's a decent system in the range of something like the W6 with integrated graphics.... but priced more in the range of the W3 w/ dedicated graphics... if not more. The touch screen adds at least (if not more) than $200 that say dedicated graphics add...... SO it'll be expensive as far as a computer with integrated graphics goes... but as far as a tablet goes.. it'll be a competitive price for a full featured tablet.

ohh if only they had discrete graphics in that thing i'd be sold ...
nothing high end, even .. an X1400 would do... -

I know, I know .... but then Acer's managed to put in a Go6200 (C314); Toshiba even put in a Go6600 (M4) ... of course, those are larger and heavier than the R1F. Still, a guy can dream, right?

only the large tablets can really fit a graphics card. i'd rather have a tablet that i can walk around and still use without losing the keyboard so i love the specs of the r1f...its the wait that's driving me crazy

I use a 12" slate that I got... oh... two and half years ago (we used to sell them) and it's wonderful....... I'm not a big fan of the convertable, but I realize in terms of sales, people are afraid to invest more money into one than a laptop and not have a keyboard. Although you get used to a slate in a few weeks of use..... we only sell them to doctors mainly and that's why they've been taken off the site........... now... 14" convertable is too big!...... I'm up in the air about a 13.3" convertable, but Asus rarely dissappoints me.... If this sells well, they're planning a slate by the end of the year.... that'll be something I'm interested in .... but right now the R2h UMPC is my "to die for" device....... just waiting on final production units... only 30 days away.....
