    Hey all,

Its possible I'm just burnt out from studying and missing the obvious, but...

    I have 2 X 1GB PC-5300 667 RAM in my W3J, and it's showing up in CPU-Z and PC Wizard 2007 as PC-5300 333.... Any ideas what's going on?

Any info is greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!

    Here's a CPUZ screenshot.

333Mhz is the base frequency. DDR stands for double data rate, so your effective speed is 667MHz (333.333333333*2).

Actually to get specific :D, DDR is double data rate--ddr333 is 2x 166sdram. Then 2x DDR is 666 MHz, thus DDR 2, or twice ddr.

    ;)

ddr2 is not twice of ddr, it's just higher speeds, different voltage and pin layout.
