    RAM
What is the Maximum amount of RAM that I can install on my laptop that will allow windows XP to still run with no problems? I heard of some people putting 2GB sticks in is this truly possible? Also is DDR2 667 and 200-pin Ram the correct type of Ram for a W3J?

    CPU
Fastest CPU and model of that CPU that we can put in the W3J without encountering any noticible problems?

    Hard Drive
Max Hard Drive size, I just upgraded mine to a WD Western Digital Scorpio?

I bought a hard drive bay for the W3J any chance that we can RAID the internal and the modular bay hard drives in windows and linux?

RAM: Look with CPU-Z, it will tell you what type of RAM you got. Max is 3GB on 32bits US (it will still work with 4, but will only show 3.2GB)

CPU: As long as your chipset supports it, there is no problems.

HDD: Just needs to be the same size(I mean the unit, not the storage) & port.

The MAXIMUM amount of RAM that the W3J can support is around 3GB. There have been several users verifying this. You can put 4GB of RAM into the system, but it will only recognise around 3GBs (That is including Windows 64 bit, 64bit CPU).

That makes sense my next purchase would be to go for a 2GB stick and this would max out my memory in the notebook. I am going to purchase this one it looks pretty good for around $50 after rebate.

But wait would it be beneficial or should I say faster to purchase a 1GB stick and run them in dual channel Mode?

As for the processor too much money right now..
    Thanks guys.

3GB single channel is better duh!

Dual Channel does not make a difference in everyday's task.

Also, when looking for the CPU, be sure to get a Merom (FSB 667) and not a Santa Rosa (FSB 800)
