I want to buy a 2 GB module for my G1S so I'll get 3 GB ram :D
But the real question is what kind of module can I buy and would it be compatible with 1 GB module which already is in the G1S

I may have narrowed it down to these :
    http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/partspecs.aspx?imodule=CT25664AC667
    http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=331437&view=detailed
    http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/con...tp://www.kingston.com&ktcpartno=KVR667D2S5/2G

Which one do you guys think will do?

According to ASUS these modules are compatible with the G1S, but I've problems finding these in a webshop (in norway) :

    512MB DDR2 667 SO-DIMM
    Nanya NT512T64UH8B0FN-3C 04G00161661E
     HYNIX HYMP564S64CP6-Y5 04G001616637

    1G DDR2 667 SO-DIMM
    UNIFOSA GU331G0AJEPN6E2L4GG 04G001617652
    Hynix HYMP512S64CP8-Y5 04G001617615
    NANYA NT1GT64U8HB0BN-3C 04G001617635

    2G DDR2 667 SO-DIMM

Kingston KVR667D2S5/2G is proven to work on asus notebooks, don't bother with other brands

Ram is ram and any brand will work so long as the specs match, ie ddr2 667 200pin sodimm. Crucial is good for letting you know which ram to use for your machine specs wise but is priced a little high, try www.newegg.com for a better deal. You will want to try to get matching sticks whenever possible so that you can use the dual channel mode, 1gb + 1gb for example. Lastly make sure that it has a lifetime warranty. Most ram does, but there are some that don't. Hope this helps.

lefetime warranty not so useful, let's say five years more than enough.... you will have sold your Asus on ebay before that or given it to some kid to play old games.....

Chech out the Hot RAM deals thread

a 2gb stick is around $80-$90 right now - a good deal. And as Wingsbr says, as long as it matches the specs it should work. I bought a Patriot 2gb stick and it works well on my G1S
