Hi everyone! I'm a Singaporean and would be heading to Canberra for further studies this coming July. I am currently hunting for a notebook and really love the Asus A8JS20DPM. However, i'm concerned with the support available as the closest Asus support is in Sydney. How reliable is the support of Asus and is there any other brands of notebooks with good graphics card and weight around 2.5Kg available? The Asus A8JS20DPM seriously offers great gaming graphics and a reasonable weight and price so something like its specs would be good. Hope you guys can help me out as planning to get one by this upcoming IT Fair at the end of this month. Cheers!

The A8J is an Asus Ensemble computer, therefore it has an international warranty, if you have problems anywhere you can ship it to Asus to be fixed. I have heard of serious issues with customer service in Europe, but throughout Asia and North America it is very good. Australia I haven't heard about, but if I were there I would just go through Asia's system and as you are singaporean I am guessing you are okay with at least one of the asian languages to be able to use the tech support? Otherwise I suppose there should be at least a couple people around here who can tell you how Asus treats Aussies. =)
