I'm using an Asus N80VN-X5 laptop and miss the radio signal meter on the taskbar. It was green with low to high 5 bar meter. I could swear my Asus had it when I first booted, but seems to have been replaced by the Asus Wireless Console 2 which just says radio and bluetooth on/off.

Is it possible to go back to the radio signal meter instead of the Asus on/off taskbar icon? Do I just uninstall Wireless Console 2?

I've checked the contol panel network settings and there is under the configure wireless networks > Configure Atheros Connection Settings > check box "enable radio measurement" but the green 5 bar meter didn't come back.

Anyone using the green 5 bar radio signal meter instead o Asus Wireless Console 2 ?

I'm using both... _ *believe* you can get it back by going control panel->start menu/taskbar->taskbar settings? (or similar) and ticking the "network" box.

There should be "Display on taskbar: Power
    Time and date
    Networking
    Something else"

    Try that, though I can't guarantee it'll work - just a thought.

That network adds the 2 computers with the globe.

I'm after the 5 green bar signal meter. If you hover the mouse over that network icon, you'll see the green 5 bar meter. It was previously on the taskbar directly.

Ah, was worth a shot, sorry =S

@smik I don't think so, it doesn't in vista (as we now know), and I have no way of trying it on xp. Give it a shot and find out, you got nothing to lose lol.
