    Ram upgrade for an A8JM

    i just purchased some ram for my a8jm. can give me a quick how-to on installing it. Thnx.

    Well, usually upgrading is covered in your manual. But I can give you a brief summery. Make sure that the laptop is off and unplugged from the AC Adapter and the battery is removed.

    Turn the laptop over and locate the memory module cover and remove the screws with the proper size screw driver.

    On each side of the RAM you should see the small silver clamps holding it in. Pull these clamps away from the module and it should pop up slightly and be able to be pulled out from the motherboard.

    Most laptops have two memory slots. Once you feel comfortable removing and re-seating the memory put them all in or replace and put it back together. You are good to go. The system should automatically register the new memory.

    Also sometimes one RAM chip is under keyboard. Let us know if this is the case and I'll guide you through getting to it.
