I got a strange problem. When I plug my usb memory drive at the back usb port, I got the following message from my icon tray "Hi-speed usb device plugged into non hi-speed usb hub". Did anyone have this problem before? As far as I know you don't have to install driver if using window XP pro, but I can't find any USB driver on the ASUS site. I checked on System/harware device/device manager, is using Intel 82801DB usb controller, is it I have to updat USB2.0 controller as well? Anyone can help?
Thanks,dogdog

This is most likely a software/driver or win XP problem and not a hardware/Asus prob. Pre SP1 xp had some difficulty properly detecting and running usb2 ports, have you upgraded to sp1 or better still sp2. If you already are running these service packs then maybe try intalling the usb2 drivers for the intel controller. Or better still you may have to install/update the chipset drivers from intel. There should be some on the driver disk from asus, other wise the intel site will have the latest INF update utility for your chipset, I'm pretty sure its a 845 & if so here is the link (http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/filter_results.asp?strOSs=44&strTypes=DRV%2CARC%2CSCD%2CUTL&ProductID=757&OSFullName=Windows*+XP+Professional&submit=Go%21)
Hope this helps
