i know i probably wont even see any increase in performance... (or will i?)
but i stuck in a 150x 4GB transcend secure digital card...
readyboost picked it up fine and reccomended i use 3810 MB..... so i said ok... applied it...
but then when its installed one of my cores is running between 80-95% at all times...
i waited about 15 minutes to see if maybe it was just doing its thing or w/e... but it was stil 90% or so...
so i resarted and same thing...
so i took it out..
its pretty unusual because they usually both run around 2-5% if im not doing anything... to have one running at 90% doesnt seem like a fair trade for 4 GB of cache...
does anybody know if i did something wrong or wassup with that?

I suggest you hit up a general os forum for that one. It doesn't seem right, but it's certainly not only on the G1 or even only on Asus systems.... you'll get more of a response elsewhere.

It's normal, it won't last forever...but copying a lot of data to the SD card actually takes up a lot of CPU. Remember the Readyboost data is also encrypted and compressed which adds to the load.
It'll be like this for some time while Windows copies over the ReadyBoost cache...just leave it alone. Over time it won't happen at all. Trust me. -

ok... i unplugged it.... reformated to ntfs with a lower... allocation unit size...
and boom it still ran around 90% but only for about five minutes.... now its runnin great...
can anybody explain to me what the real benifits are... and if i should do anything with my page file or just leave everything as is? -
It uses it like ram, the page file goes there first before using the HDD. We had another post on this.
