Hello,
My friend is selling her W3v with 512ram and 40gig hard drive, dvd burner etc. for $750 which I thought was very reasonable. I sent her the NBR review so she could verify that it was the right model and she replied back with some interesting things to say, which I dont know what to make of. I need your help please, in telling me what it means...
She told me that it looks like the same model, EXCEPT "the cover is slightly different (the cover on the review looks like it's sharp edges, and it looks slightly more copper-ish than mine does...mine is straight silver...and also...the ASUS sign is a sticker that I put on the left hand corner of the laptop..)"
I noticed that all the W3V pictures that Ive seen has the Asus logo branded onto the front. Please tell me what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

I believe the Z63a doesn't have the giant Asus logo on the back (although its there on the white part), could she have gotten that instead?

If she got it in the states from the states then its a z63a. Why not just read the part number on the underside of the laptop? w3v was never ever sold with a 40gb drive. Even if its a z63 if its in good shape with a pentium m its still worth every penny.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Ask her if the sticker is a rectangle and says "Built on Asus" i.e. this pic from Geared2play's site - if so, then it's a z63; W3v has the Asus logo centered on the back of the LCD. Also, as Eddie said, have her check the label underneath. It's a z63 if it says z6300 or w3000 (I forget how many zeros it has, mine's at home). -
it looks like a W3A.... that's what i think..
Really W3V??
