I know that notebook computer batteries aren't built to last forever, but Holy Cow....my W2JB battery is 14 months old and dead as a doornail already. It won't accept any type of charge at all and the battery utility in the BIOS does absolutely nothing to improve things. I'm talking zero juice coming from the battery. At least the computer runs fiine on AC power.
My questions are: 1- will Asus give me warranty consideration since I'm so close to the warranty expiration? and 2- If I am forced to buy a battery through the Asus estore, is anyone aware of a discount code that I can put in the available field?
120 bucks a year is quite some overhead. Any assistance here is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

As long as your warranty hasn't expired, Asus will honor it.
I've had to use warranty when I only had 1 week left on it for a bunch of laptops at work, but I was dealing with Lenovo. -
The last Windows laptop I bought included a battery warranty of only six months and it was from Voodoo PC. I had no problems with the battery, but had it died, I'd have been on my own for a new one. Not sure, but think the standard in the industry is 6-12 months, depending on builder.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Discount codes are probably exclusive to dealers, since the eStore isn't really supposed to be available to the public (but is still on the web and anyone can order from there),
Really dead battery issue
