    I really like the design of the w1n and everything but its GPU is a bit outdated especially compared to the v6va which was just released...what are the chances of the w1n getting an upgrade? i dont really know how long its been out so im not sure.

    I know that an upgrade to an x700 may be cutting into the w2v's territory but im just curious if it could be in the books or maybe its already out in europe..not sure..thanks

    The W1vc is the laptop you are looking for.

    Not out here yet, but I believe it is out in Europe and Asia

    No reason why it won't but, well, there may be some stupid reason(or none at all)

    Apparently the W1vc is never coming to the states, because it would just be competing with the w2v with very similar specs and close price. There is also no update scheduled for the w1 chassis when yonah comes...

    Oh, and I know you can get the W1vc in Denmark and Australia, and most probably around Asia.

    Do you consider to change your mind to choose W2V?? This model also comes with a TV tuner, 2.13 Ghz CPU, 1 GB DDR2 memory......

    15.4 -> 17" is quite a size difference.

    Weight-wise its not but the W2v will struggle being opening in cramped spaces, which could perhaps be a roadblock

    well the casing is similar the 15 inch powerbook i own....and id really like to get a windows machine ABOUT the same size and so the w1n is really attractive...the powerbook isnt too big to open on a plane but isnt to small for me to see whats on the screen. I considered the w2v but its just too big in that sense...I may look into the z70va or the v6v/a (probably the older model)

    ultraman, I was also looking at the W1N as the price came down, but it's an end of life product and not many places carry them.

    My vendor found one, but it was an open box and I just didn't want to have to deal with any problems with it so I just ordered my Z70Va and I received it the next day~!

    The reason I chose it was because it was so **** sexy, but after getting my Z70Va I have absolutely no regrets as this thing is sexy in its own right. Much better looking in person than in pictures.

    One thing to note for everyone looking for the Z70Va or other notebooks with powerful videocards is that it will be quite noisy when running graphics intense programs like games as it must cool the GPU down, so the fan will be running constantly.

    So don't complain when you get a high powered laptop with a slightly noisy fan, since with power comes a bit of noise.

    It's not so bad though, since you won't be playing games without audio, so you won't notice it. It's a whizzing sound not a hum, when the fan goes up a notch.

    During normal use it's more of a hum.

    Cheers,
    Mike
