    6 months? Probably.

In that time, better processors will be out for gaming too (Intel Core 2 Extreme for laptops).

A lot of it might simply be for desktop replacements, like 17" laptops, but you never know. The C90s for example, "might" be able to fit a 8800M. 6 months is a lot of time, who can tell?

Just buy the g1s now, there will always be something better coming out, but it's a solid notebook you won't regret buying. You're wasting all of these days that you could already have a laptop.

Agreed. I've been looking at laptops for a while now and can simply no longer justify waiting to purchase a laptop. I am probably going to be getting an Asus G1S. It's not the best laptop, but it's one of the best performing, reasonably portable gaming laptops out there. More expensive than a Sager NP2090, but a little better performance. Not as good as a Sager 5790, but it's more portable.

Plus, all the other comperable laptops out there are going to have long shipping or wait times. You won't be disappointed with the G1S.
