Well, i don't have a V6J, but it uses the HD Audio chip (Realtek ALC880) doesn't it?

I have a A6Ja which uses the Realtek ALC880, and the latest build offered on ASUS support site for download is 5.10.00.5165, and the latest build available on Realtek's site is 5.10.00.5233. I downloaded and installed the latest one's from Realtek's site and they work perfectly on my A6Ja atleast, so i guess it should be perfectly safe.

Mine has this as the network driver:

    5.638.1116.2005

and this for the audio driver:

    5.10.1.4130

I will note that the audio driver isn't listed as a Realtek (its a SoundMax) and I couldn't tell from the link if that was a network or audio driver. If you have more details, I will check on my V6j, because I haven't updated any drivers yet.
