I have a realtek HD sound card in my Laptop (see sig) and a while ago I noticed that when ever a sound would play there would be a a high pitch sound thats obviously created by the inner working of the laptop and sent through the sound card into the speakers and that would go on for a couple seconds then I would hear a pop and the sound would shut off until something triggered another sound like clicking back a folder or whatever. Then the other day the sound card did not stop putting out that sounds thats not too loud, but very annoying. The sound still sounds great when something is playing, but if there is nothing and my speakers are on I can hear all these annoying sounds like USB power, the hard drive spinning and everything through the speakers and the sound card doesn't cut it off anymore. I hope you guys know what I am talking about and if anyone has a suggestion please let me know. I already tried the generic drivers and the most up to date ones from the realtek site, but it doesn't seem to be a driver issue. For now I am just turning off my speakers when I am not listening to music, watching or playing something, but it is kind of a pain.
Realtek sound issue please help
