I have an ASUS F3SV and whenever I boot it gets to the POST screen and then suddenly reboots and it keeps doing this in a loop.
I don't have the recovery discs with me, and I tried flashing the bios with a USB key but the utility doesn't recognize the key.
Is there anything I could try? Or is there some kind of recovery utility that would let me get in to dos so i could transfer the bios to the c drive?
Thanks.

Hi chimaera15. Honestly this sounds like a RAM issue. I would recommend reseating the RAM and try running MemTest86 to test it. If you have more than one stick try testing them one at a time. If you get errors then replace the stick that gives you errors.

It can actually be other hardware not just RAM. There are some things to do besides trying the different sticks of RAM (although that should certainly be done).
Like:
0. Remove ALL peripherals (USB, eSATA, firewire etc)
1. Remove battery press power button a few times, reinsert, try to boot.
2. Remove HDD, try to boot off a CD.
and of course the RAM.
For more ways of updating BIOS check my guide (sig).
If none of these (including BIOS update) works I would say it's a bad motherboard and you should get it changed from warranty.
