    Recommendations for stable GPU drivers compatible with the Asus G50VT's 9800M GS?

    nvidia own notebook drivers? ive been running them for months now and never had a problem....

    Hmmmm....

    Reason I ask is that I started using the notebook drivers recommended by Windows update. I was using Nvidia's drivers for a while but switched to those. Just after I started monitoring my temps, I started noticing that they were fluctuating from lows of 44 to highs of 72 while idling. I found that Microsoft's drivers were stopping me from me using Nvidia System Tools to lower the minimum shader speeds to keep my temps low. I was able to solve this by downloading drivers from laptopvideo2go.

    Actually i've updated my 9800m GS driver to 195.xx BETA and havent had any issues, same with the older 186.xx drivers.
