    Recover Vista in M50Sv after having deleted the hidden partition

    Hello,

    I plan to return the M50Sv because of the low-quality display (AUO2277). For my it is a defective product. If it is the design intent bad for them.

    When I installed Vista Ultimate I removed all the existing partitions to make a clean install. Is there a way to leave everything as it was when I purchased the laptop?

    I think I will buy a M50Sa that comes with a decent display (CMO1523)...

    There is a recovery disk shipped along with your laptop. You just need to put it in, and choose to partition HD into two drives. The rest should be easy.

    You don't need to return your unit back though. Your returned laptop will be sent to ASUS for inspection and repairs (if necessary).

    Remember, just because some M50s have the CMO display doesn't mean that all of them do -- Asus contract buys whatever is available at the moment of production, and so you will *NOT* be guaranteed to get a CMO lcd if you purchase a new M50. Still, you might get lucky.....
