Hey guys Ive already done this before and it has worked, but now when I run the recovery disc it seems to be running faster and does not install the drivers needed.

My computer crashed and was giving me proplems telling me to insert the vista disc (which you dont get) so I insert recovery disc ran recovery that works fine but it is not running an out of box recovery though. I don't have any of the software or drivers and even after its finished the setup and I run the Driver disc again it just loops installing the first driver on the list.

    what i did:

    1. run first disc on boot.
    2. when it ask for drivers, hit the power button. power down.
    3. reboot. let Vista do it's thing. it will hit the desktop, do two tasks in the Command Window -- just wait. it will reboot itself.
    4. once you get to the desktop again, insert the drivers disc and autoplay.
    5. pick your drivers. install what you need. i did everything except: Wireless LAN, VGA (both downloaded directly from the manufacturer) and Camera (not needed, and the program will tell you it "fails" when installing the drivers). install.
    6. confirm "reboot". while Vista is doing so, eject the disc.
    7. upon return to the desktop, reinsert the drivers disc. pick your applications. install.
    8. confirm "reboot".
    9. welcome to Vista, finally.
