    Hi.

I have bought a used laptop from Germany and I want to install English version and a legal one. I have a sticker on the bottom of my laptop so I'd say its licenced...and the German version of Windows works ok too, eg the update works without even asking me for validation...

Now I cannot install windows with my OEM dics, I have did this many times with new laptops, but now I just cannot. Key is ok and valid, but when I come to "online activate screen" it says the key is wrong....huh.

I've read that activation should be done within 4 months from buying, since I have a used laptop, it is way over 4 months, so perhaps this is the problem?

Now I am looking for a recovery CD...if someone would be so kind and upload them somewhere so I can get them...I belive this would work.

    Otherwise I am screwed :/

The Z70 series did not come with recovery CDs... at least not here in North America, since the Z70 is a barebone/built-on notebook. If the notebook did in fact come with a recovery CD, the person you bought the notebook from should have provided it to you. Your best bet would be to contact the person you bought the notebook from.

Other than that... there really isn't much you can do except purchase another copy of Windows.
