I was looking through the settings on my N50, and I noticed that my refresh rate will not go above 60. Is there a way to unlock this, or should I leave it alone?

90% of the LCDs only do 60... It wont let you change it because it cant support any higher.

It was in the beggining of LCD times thought that the refresh rate didnt matter as its more in the response time now days, but today they have leared refresh and response rate both matter...

But regardless I have yet to see a notebook monitor go beyond 60... Not to say they dont have them but most wont...

I often wonder if thats why when I see very fine spaced lines I see the flicker effect... but otherwise 99% of what I do you cant tell...

There really isn't a "refresh rate" on LCD panels. The 60hz you see on your laptop is only there for your operating system to work with.
