Refreshes of the A6jc, W3j, new W7j soon to come

To go along with the Intel Price drops, and along with their traditional way of pricing, they have upgraded both the ASUS A6jc and W2j ENSEMBLE units to reflect the CPU price drops.

The A6jc has been upgraded from 1.66 to 1.83, and two 512mb RAM sticks to one 1024mb RAM stick. The rest will be the same.

The W3j has been upgraded from 1.83 to 2.0, and from two 512 sticks to one 1024 stick of RAM, with the rest of the specs the same.

The W7j is a BLACK 13.3" WXGA -1280 x 768 screen, with a 128mb Nvidia 7400 GPU, built in 1.3mp cam, Core Duo 1.83ghz, with 1024mb DDR2 stick of RAM(unupgradable 512mb onboard, and upgradable 512mb stick) and a 100gb SATA 5400rpm. It will contain XP Pro.

These changes will be in effect by the first or second week of July, or when the current stock has been sold out. Check with your dealer then to make sure it is the one you want when the time comes.

There will probrably be more waiting lines and preorder lines from other fine dealers as well when weeks come by and the release dates appear to be closer, but these are the only ones that are out ATM.

 

kool!!, but I can't wait till the A8j becomes BOA?? lol, or an upgrade to the a8jm?

Can't wait for final specs on the V1J too.

Thanks for the post, Cori. I must say, I like how the ASUS Ensembles get the refresh with updated components. Keeps them competitive by increasing performance, rather than dropping prices to compensate for relatively lower-level components.

Man, I'm waiting on that W7J!

 

After much debating, I finally decided to go ahead and order the W3J with an upgraded (100gb 7200rpm) HDD, last Thurs from www.asuslaptop.co.uk

On friday, or maybe saturday, I came on here and started reading about the new model with the T2500, and that it should retail at the same price

When I ordered it they did not have it in stock and told me that I would have to wait a couple of weeks for the next shipment, which should arrive next week somewhen.

But what I want to know is whether I will be getting the new W3J with the T2500, or just the current model with the T2400?

Is the W3J-H026H even going to be released in the U.K?

Yeah, any info on what'll happen to the A8Jm? They better not have built in BT..... grrr...
