I am sure it does to a degree, unless Asus is 100% confident there will never, ever have a return or repair. But, as we know these do happen. So, I am sure there is a refurb place, but my guess would be that it's somewhere in taiwan.

Wow, I never thought of this... Great question, I wish I knew an answer. There has to be some place where you can get a better deal on a referb Asus notebook. Because they can not sell it as new...

There aren't many "refurbs", but they're offered to us for parts... At the very most, I've see 30 units of M6's in the stock, but typically it's under 5. The refurbs are actually really nice, because they're just like factory damaged units.... like a model that got scratched up or a screen broke.... Even with my trained eye, they can be built out and sold as new systems, rather than simply as parts. Basically, anything that was wrong, they replace that part and just sell them at their cost. They're only available to some dealers and aren't meant to be sold.... but a lot of times their cheaper for the entire barebone than a new screen would be, yet the screen on the units is new and perfect fine.

I know that may not make sense, but Asus really doesn't understand a lot of American terms... They're not old, beaten systems.... they're completely new and completely functioning.
