Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my screen on my U46SV. I want to upgrade my screen resolution 1336 X 768 to 1600 X 900
I found a video that teaches you how to replace the screen on the U46SV
ASUS U46e Laptop Screen Replacement Procedure - YouTube

and I also found two screens that are 14 inch and 1600 X 900

    LG LP140WD1-TLA1 1600*900 Glossy LED Screen ASUS F8S N8 | eBay

    14" LED LCD 14.0" Screen HD+ Glossy for LP140WD1(TL)(A1?) ASUS F8S N8 BENQ S42 | eBay

the U46SV aren't under the listed models, but I was wondering if it is possible to put these screens in the U46SV. Would there be connector problems? or would the screens be too fat to fit? (U46 has a really thin screen)
    Thanks!

Yes it may run into a problem with a higher resolution screen, you will need a dual link LVDS cable, and if it shipped with a 1366x768 screen it will almost definitely only support single link LVDS. You might be able to find a compatible cable from another model, but you will also need to match the LCD's connector and pinout to that in order for the whole project to be successful.
