I bought a F3K laptop months ago, do you think it's important to register it in the Asus website?

Unregistered laptops don't apply the warranty?
What happen if somebody decides to register it after a problem with the laptop?

Are you located in the US or Canada?
Because if you are, you have to register within 60 days or else you forfeit the 1 year accidental damage warranty.
As for standard warranty, as long as you have proof of purchase and the date of purchase eg. receipt or invoice, the standard warranty applies regardless.

If I buy from USA and use it in Europe (more specifically in UK), will they (ASUS UK) provide me the 1yr accidental damage cover. There is a possiblity that I may get one from USA

It probably has to be registered to a US address, and the ADC likely only then applies if you send it to Asus NA in Fremont in the event something happens.

I have registered my ASUS laptop online within 60 days of purchase. Does this qualify me for accidental and standard warranty? Or do I have to send that piece of stiff warranty paper with copy of an invoice?

speaking of registering to get the warranty

i'd like to confirm if the warranty extension(2 year limited warranty turns into 3 year limited warranty) is free. they mention purchasing it which made me question it a little bit.

when you register you get the extension free? right?

No you don't have to mail anything in. Just registering online is fine.

Nope - When you purchase your laptop, you have the option to extend the warranty from 2 years to 3 years for an additional $129. If you don't purchase it, then you only get standard 2 years international warranty + 1 year accidental (only when you register within 60 day) + 30 day zero bright dot warranty.

For those thinking about extended warranty, check with your credit card company. Some credit card companies offer extended warranty if you use their card to purchase the product. Take a look, will save you some cash :)

The 1 year accidental warranty is only available in the US and Canada. However, the standard warranty should be international. Did you buy your notebook in the US or Brazil?

I'm coming to american & canada (from australia) for a holiday. I was thinking of getting a laptop while i'm over there. If I buy an asus laptop in USA and register it, am I still eligible for the 1 year accidental warranty? I'm happy to send the laptop to the US as i've heard that can be cheaper than getting it fixed here.

If i have a dead pixel can I get it fixed/replaced in australia under warranty? Or is the dead pixel warranty country specific?
