I'm having trouble trying to uninstall Express Gate from my notebook. Mine is an ASUS N61J, and Express Gate is 391MB. My notebook also has a Power4Gear button that also acts as a startup button for Express Gate.

What concerns me about this is that if I uninstall Express Gate, then anything related to Power4Gear may not work anymore and may cause problems for my notebook. Also, I can't find an option to disable Express Gate in my BIOS. So, is there a safe way for me to uninstall Express Gate from my notebook that won't cause any problems?

I'm updating this thread with images so that you can see that there's no option to disable Express Gate in the BIOS:

Express gate and power 4 gear are 2 distinct programs, removing EG will not have any effect on P4G. If you are in windows, are you using programs and features to remove EG? There should be an entry there. I have used P4G for many months without EG being installed (I removed it when I realized my G73 was running very hot when I used it.
The general consensus I have seen is very few people here use express gate and a good mumber of us have removed it. It is merely a limited version of Linux that runs instead of windows. You are right, there are no entries for EG in BIOS on my system either.

That's what I mean. If I uninstall EG in Programs and Features, then I may start getting those problems. But after reading your response, I don't think this will be an issue. I'll try it out.
