I'm at my wits end here. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the keyboard out to access the second memory slot.

I've removed the only "K" screw on the bottom (as well as damn near every other screw at this point) and it won't budge. There doesn't appear to be any clips holding it in like on many other Asus lappy's, nor is the panel above it removeable (at least to my eyes).

    Thoughts?

Hmmm... in all the ASUS laptops that I've seen, there is a row of clips along the top edge of the keyboard (F1-F12 line). There will usually be 3 of them, sometimes four.

Once those are popped up, the keyboard should be loose and you can rotate it up and towards you.

If you don't see the clips, my only guess is that there is a keyboard bezel that needs to be removed first (the panel above as yo call it). In that case you would need a disassembly manual for your model.

The clips don't seem to exsist for this model, I'm guessing because it's the new spill-proof keyboard and has the tray under it.

Hopefully someone here has a disassembly guide for it because I can't find one for the life of me.

    Anyone?

I sent Asus a email the other day asking about this and have yet to hear back from them.

Did you try searching for a disassembly manual? Maybe someone has posted it.

Hi on my V2s I had the keyboard clips. They are small rectangular slots behind the F1, F6, F10, and insert keys, as well as b/w the Tab/caps lock key on the left and b/w the pgup and pgdn keys on the right. I used a on old id card cut to a point to press these tabs in. Starting with the ones near the function keys I was able to press them in, then using another credit card you can pry the keyboard up. Be careful as the keyboard has a thin ribbon cable.

Aha so maybe the problem was the tabs to the sides, which for other models aren't there.
