    Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with changing motherboards in the UX303 line. Specifically, I have a UX303UB-DH74T with a bad motherboard. This is the model with the Nvidia 940m and the 3200x1800 screen. It's hard/expensive to source motherboard for this model but I've found a few UX303LA boards for fairly cheap. The Nvidia card isn't critical for my use case and I'm wondering if I could swap in the UX303LA board. The plug for the display cable looks similar but it's hard to tell from the Ebay pictures. I'm also not sure if the Intel HD 5500 would drive the 3200x1800 display properly. Does anyone have experience with this kind of motherboard change?

Failing that, does anyone know if the chassis is similar enough that I could swap both the motherboard and install a matching UX303LA FHD screen? New screens aren't that expensive relative to the cost of replacing the laptop.

    Thanks for any help!

Going by eBay pictures only, while the overall board looks very similar, one of the edges is slightly longer on one of the boards and the CPU heatsink is in a slighly different position on the boards. Some of the screw holes are also changed.
