Hello, I have just purchased an Asus UL50vt and it comes with Express Gate. I have done a bit of research and it seems that it is not possible to replace Express Gate with another flavor of Linux like Unbutu. Can anyone confirm this? Many thanks! :D

I just read through that as well as the forum which it links to but all of that info is from like '08. It only deals with modifying Express Gate and not replacing it altogether. I figured maybe someone has been able to do this by now. Google yielded no additional help. I know I can install linux on the HDD and boot from either OS but I want to be able to use the special power button lol :) Thanks for the reply though.

Actually, I was reading an archive of the linked forum so there is some additional info I need to go through.
