The screen on the G50VT-X1 is known to have a horrible screen. The viewing angles on it are horrible. I was wondering if anyone has replaced the screen on the G50VT-X1. If so what LCD did u replace it with?

Is it possible to use even 1280x800? That's a 16:10 resolution-- I thought that we had 16:9 screens.
If you compare even the screen dimensions with the 15.4" G50vt's, you can see 15.4" screens take up more vertical room.

Is it an LED display? I thought it was the standard one. It's a relatively cheap notebook. I don't think it'll make a difference for what screen we use though, right?

There is a supposedly 1080p 15.6 screen coming out in some months. wait up and then change to that.

personally I would preffer something near 1600x900 tops. The screen is too small for 1080p.

Totally agree with the 1600x900-- I saw a Sony 15.6" with that resolution and it was beautiful. Any idea if the 1080p screen will be compatible with the g50vt?
