Anyone know where I can get one of these?

I was on my w3v today and noticed my 7 key does not work for some reason. upon further investigation the key is bent. I havn't the slightest clue how this happened. I took the key off and the button under it works fine. Unfortunately I cannot seem to reattach it, not sure I would want to anyways.

Writing this post it seems the "U" button is giving me problems too. Having to press it 3-4 times for it to work.

Infact all keys in that area seem a little "morphed." again, not sure how this happened except that maybe during intense CPU usage that area of the keyboard gets really hot.

    Please help, thanks.

I would contact Asus about the issue. Im not sure if they will replace the entire keyboard for a few keys but its worth a try.

Well, it's kind of necessary considering that's the area where all my vowels are. I will end up contacting them but I'd hate to have to send the machine out all the way to california from where I live...

You may have to send the notebook to Asus if they request it. However, I am confident that if you know how to replace the notebook's keyboard and request that the keyboard just be sent to you, Asus will most likey do just that.

Asus isn't going to replace a keyboard.... usually that falls under "normal wear and tear" and it's no more than a $40 part to replace. It's something they wouldn't have the unit sent in for either as they are easy to replace. They may tell you to give us a call because I know they won't sell those parts to end-users.

We always have extra keyboards for replacement projects, but recently took them off our site because a bunch of people seemed to connect the fact that we offer them with Asus' keyboards being bad... for some reason. Anyway, we went back to just having customers request them and sending them a hidden link if they wanted to buy them.

You could drop me a line if Asus gives you a problem.

I had a similar problem with my W3v, so I called Asus support and asked for a new keyboard. A few days later, I recieved a new W3v keyboard through the mail for free...they also emailed me a guide for installation...
