    Hey forum,

I hope you could help me out - my GF's notebook screen is broken and we need to replace it.
The catch is, she bought her ASUS in China and they seem to have other model numbers than in Europe.

I'm trying to figure out which 14" screen to get for her Model, the Model Numer is S46E3217CA-SL.
All the replacement parts websites do not list this exact model number.

Will a generic S46CA screen fit?

Here a link, maybe some details help: http://product.pcpop.com/000370073/Index.html

Best regards, thanks in advance for your input!

You have to know connector type (eDP/LVDS), connector location (bottom/top, left/right), resolution (<900p or ≥900p) and pin count (30-/40-pin). If it still boots (with external screen or such) then run MonInfo and pen down the panel number or ' Raw data' if that is merely an inventory number (Dell and Lenovo do this ... o_O ). If not; remove the lcd bezel and unscrew the panel so you can look at the sticker on the back. With either information it's possible to gather a list with compatible screens (or use it to order an exact match).

Thanks a lot t456, we will try MonInfo and if necessary remove the LCD then.
