Anyone have any advice on how to make the full size turbo memory fit in this case.

The only way i see is to trim the little metal tab from one of the screw holes and then grind down where the screw would go just enought so it still holds the turbo memory in the mini pci-e slot.

The S96S and G1S both uses Asus half size card, you won't able to trim the metal tab, also there is another screw on the way and it's part of the chassi that holds the MB, it's not fit in there.

I know all that, i took the whole thing apart already.

In the first pic you can see the post that hits the turbo memory card.

The second shows the little metal tab i was referring to.

I could probably grind down the post just enought to still hold the card in place but i wanted to know if anyone had a better solution.

You beat me to it Ken =P.

Yea, a lot of people bought turbo memory separately, much to their chagrin when they receive it, due to some misinformation floating around the boards. Don't worry, you aren't alone Sneis.

Why do some sites included it as a add in item when customizing if it doesn't fit?

Trying to take your money? They hack a regular card up to fit in there. Or rather they hack up the port to fit the full size card. Some will also tell you (Robson memory shipped separately) and you won't get it till the half-size comes out.

I got two questions. One, which intel turbo memory will fit an F3sv-B1? And, is it even worth it? There seems to be a lot of controversy over whether the benefits are there for this product.

You'll get a bunch of back and fourth on the value of Turbo Memory but the truth is the jury is still out.

i have a G1S and have the big turbo memory installed and working just fine. I just tapped the back side of the turbo memory card so it would not make any contacts.

Honnestly, it's working just fine !

not much to figure out there just some ingenuity. make sure the tape is vinyl based non coductive. there is no way for you to mod the s96j unfortunately short of cutting the cylindrical screw hole that is in the way.
