I'm on the ASUS site and have all drivers and hotfixes downloaded to allow me to install Windows XP on my VX2, but I can't find an XP version for the Bluetooth driver, only one for Windows Vista:

    V5.10.02 2007/02/09 update
    Description BlueTooth
    BlueTooth driver for Vista 32bit

It's the "Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba," think it will work under XP?

For the VX1 it is the other way around. There are only bluetooth driver for XP available. I think it has something todo with licencing. They cant just give you a different version without paying Toshiba or whoever made the bluetooth. Try using the VX1 drivers for XP. Maybe they work.

Thanks for the tip! I will also call tech support to make sure it works before trying, because I'm now married to my Bluetooth mouse, given the pressure required to press the VX2 trackpad buttons.

I just got this e-mail from ASUS tech support:

You can try the following to force the driver for Vista to work:

    1) Go to the setup.exe file of the program, game or application that you are trying to install, in your case the Bluetooth driver.
    2) Locate the setup.exe and Right click and go to property
    3) Select compatibility mode…for instance…if you want to run in Win XP mode…Select and choose that.
    4) and Run the setup installation.

See if that helps…again, it doesn’t always work but something you can try.
