I am not sure if this post is OK in the Asus forum or if it should be in software. I am posting/asking here because I think there are quite a few Asus laptops being built with the Ryzen mobile chip.
The question I have is: are people using Ryzen Controller to tweak Asus laptops, and if so what are your thoughts and opinions regarding the app?
Any and all info is greatly appreciated. My Scar 15 arrived yesterday and I am trying to figure out the best way to tune it. My first task is to obviously re-install Windows Pro and do a clean, non-bloated install.
Thanks again. Be well.

Have you tried this:
https://github.com/JamesCJ60/AMD-APU-Tuning-Utility
Its made by one of the Ryzen Controller devs focused on mobile Ryzen -
In the short term, I have gone into the registry and set the power attribute so I could disable Power Boost in the Advance Power Plan tab of Windows. Tonight perhaps I can try the APU Tunner.

i'm using Rayzen controller and it works perfectly, the only issue is that u need to use it while armory crate is on manual mod. the only way it was working, and from time to time you need to re apply the settings as they get reverted by armory crate app.

Well. I think I discovered the problem. I changed Armory Crate profiles and still no luck. I was trying to use Ryzen Controller Version 2.5.4. I decided to try and downgrade to the previous version. Downloaded and installed version 2.5.3 and I am not seeing an error message. Something in Version 2.5.4 does not agree with my Strix Scar.

Update:
I started getting errors even with Version 2.5.3. The errors popped up when I tried to adjust video settings.
@kill4l Would you mind sharing your profile? Are you also using Ryzen Controller to adjust GPU or VRM values?
Thanks. Be well. -

Update:
OK folks here we go. From what I can tell, it appears that both Ryzen Controller and AMD APU Tuning Utility are wrappers for Ryzenadj. At their cores, it appears that both utilities are just GUI's and the heavy lifting is being done by ryzenadj. Regarding compatibility and what settings can be changed, I have found the following table from the ryzenadj GitHub page:

The 2021 Strix Scar uses the Cezanne CPU so for now it looks like we can adjust the CPU but not either the dedicated GPU or the onboard Vega (iGPU).
Be well. Enjoy the weekend. -
