Quick question for you guys. So yesterday I thought it would be cool to hook up myy W3V up to the TV via my s-video out to watch a video file using this VLC Media Player. Everything was working great until I tried to play the movie. On the TV I could see my desktop and the media player but where the movie was playing on the W3V's screen, there was just black on the TV. I was just wondering why i would see video on my W3V's screen but not on the TV, any ideas?

    Thanks

You have to make the TV the "primary" output screen. Videos will only play on the screen that's considered as the "primary monitor" I believe.

You are right it. The tv has to be set to primary monitor to see videos on tv or dual monitor setup.

I believe AuroraS and SRD are correct. I remember I had the same problem with my desktop running an Nvidia 6800. Has something to do with overlay I think.

You don't have to set the TV as the primary monitor. Go into ATI driver options on the overlay page and click teather mode (with a TV connected) to set it up. That, or install a driver using Catalyst Control Center which has a more user friendly wizard to set up such things.

My personal preference is to automatically play movie content full screen on the TV and minimize the player on the notebook (clone + teathre).
