    hi, I have the asus s400ca I3.

I have read that this ultrabook does have connectivity issues with the wireless. I can look connected, but receive the error page that I m not connected. I can even be in the same room as the router.

I have tried a few of the suggestions, but nothing seems to solve the issue.

So, now I am considering swapping out the Atheros for a Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 wifi+bluetooth card. I Know how to open it and change out the ram (I am a techy)..is the wifi card virtually the same way? How do I know this particular card is compatible? I saw mention of this card on this board somewhere...

    thanks

    Hey rosyjazz,

Make sure it's the card before you swap it out for another card (even though the Intel IS better), and not a software issue - whether the software be per fault of the driver, or perhaps malware (there are viruses that exude similar behavior). As far as I know, the Intel Centrino card should be compatible, at least.
