    S56CA only boots to bios after flashing

    So i updated my bios to 208 from 206 and now i can only boot to bios i also have no boot priorities. Is this a common issue? i used the winflash util to flash my bios. i really need some help.

    try disable secure boot in the security tab of the BIOS see if it works.

    No dice, still boots straight to bios

    No, that's not normal. ;)

    See if Asus can advise. Although you can't remove the battery on this (correct me if I'm wrong), you may be able to still perform an EC reset by draining the battery all the way (leave the power supply disconnected) until it has no charge left. Sometimes an EC reset is necessary after writing new firmware.

    Hopefully the BIOS isn't corrupt.

    Go to Boot tab in the BIOS and check to see if Windows Boot Manager is listed on 1st boot priority.
