sorry if this is already a thread somewhere but it's not a sticky and i didn't feel like checking 310 threads for it. I just oc'd my X1600 to 530/432 MHz and with 3dmark05 got a score of 4567. I submitted my score today and it was accepted (i.e. it is on the website now as only default settings are allowed to be submitted) and the next highest score with similar cpu/gpu combinations was about 4100. In other words, I am under the impression that I have the current world record 3dmark05 score for the s96j with the following specs: (0 artifacts)

    ASUS S96J
    BIOS REV 1104
    Proc: T7200 2.00 GHz
    GPU: X1600 256 mb @530/432 MHz 8.233.0.0
    HDD: Seagate Momentus 5400 80 gb ST98823AS
    Catalyst control center: 1.2.2258.38980

Post your scores! Other notebooks with similar setups welcome also

I have an x1600 in my A8Ja, but the stock clocks are 470/378, and I can only get it to 470/450 before I start seeing artifacts.

Anyone have any idea why my laptop is so retarded?

Try overclock more on GPU and less on video RAM.
