    Hello, does anyone know if I can place a T5600 in an ASUS S96J? Thanks

    Hi SteveMB. As far as I know the S96J is basically a Z96J. The Z96J can be updated to the T5500/T5600 CPUs with the newest BIOS update. However to be absolutely sure I would contact your Tech Support team and have them look into the issue before you proceed as to help you avoid buying a CPU that you can't use. They should be able to give the answers that you seek. Hope this helps.

    Yes T5600 will work on S96J however, you might need to update to the latest BIOS for CPU uCode update.
