    Hi,

I recently upgraded my S96J laptop to Vista Ultimate (from XP) and found a hardtime findings new drivers for almost all devices on my laptop. I was able to fix all except for the wireless connection to my router. I dont seem to get the Wlan radio working through fn+F2, though Ive already installed all the necessary drivers from Intel website. Device list shows WLAN is enabled though but I dont see the radio ON indicator on the taskbar anymore.
I am hoping someone could tell me if I miss any driver.
    Appreciate your help.

By the way Im planning to upgrade from core Duo to a core Duo with 4mb cache anytime soon but I was told by a shop that S96Js are not stable with Core 2 processors. Any comment on this? And is it easy to DIY BIOS upgrade for this switch and is the software needed downloadable through the net?

    thanks,
    Jaime

Hi! I actually thought I already solved my problem. I already get indication of WLAN on and off with FnF2 but my laptop cant seem to detect my router (my other laptop does). If I get this indication, does it really mean the radio is turned on?

Also Im hoping someone could comment regarding the core 2 duo and BIOS upgrade.Tnx

Guys pls help me on this, Im desperate :)

Ive tried reinstalling all drivers mentioned on other threads and got to get the WLAN radio turned on but it doesn't seem to detect my wireless router (WRT54GC) when my other laptop and my PDA does. Tried setting it up manually as well but to no avail. I'll be on travel soon and really need to get my wifi working.Tnx
