I know other people have had this problem. You know how some times you leave your laptop for a while and the screen turns off and you can't turn it back on? Is there a fix out for that yet?

Sorry, haven't been around in a while, dunno what the latest developements are on the S96J. Oh yeah, that screen graininess BIOS fix, is it still beta? or is there something official now?

    Thanks!

Close the lid and then open it again.

@usapatriot: no, no amount of key pressing will turn it back on. I usually have to restart the computer by blindly pressing windows-u-u, or hold down the power button until it shuts off

@cataphract: I did that, but then something weird happens. Whenever I use any of the Fn keys like volume up or volume down, the icon that shows up in the top left hand corner appears as usual but STAYS INDEFINITELY!! Might seem like a cosmetic issue, but I can't see anything beneath the icon and so can't access most menus in most programs.

oh and can someone remind me how to install the new bios? I installed the beta 1101 bios in the past, but dun remember how I did it. It involved Nero, though.
