From what I know, there are two models to the webcam. There's the D-Max and there's the Azurewave. If you have the D-Max model, the AmCap will work but won't capture any pictures or videos. If you are looking for the drivers, try intels site for the Azurewave. If you looking for the D-Max, there's a post on this site that has the drivers. I have the D-Max and I can't get AmCap to capture video or pictures. My friend has the Azurewave and it works fine on his but the picture quality looks better on the D-Max.

first of all the camera does not even work unless you install drivers manually
    1. browse the driver cd for the camera folder
    2. install the driver from the cd rather then from the autorun menu.
i dont recall which driver from the cd is the right one becuase it has 2 of them. install them both. one will work. Your issues with messenger should be fixed after that

I installed the D-Max drivers from the CD. There is also a Azurewave drivers on the cd but I recommend you download the one from Intel's site. I used my camera with MSN, Yahoo, and a few others. It works just I can't take pictures or videos with it.

Go to the hardware properties. It will tell you what's wrong with it and tell us before anyone can help. It might not be a driver issue. There's a thread here with drivers if you want to do a search on it.

I just built an S96S for a customer, and could not get the camera to work properly with the driver that was on the CD. I downloaded the latest driver from Intel and that solved the problem (uninstalled the first driver, deleted the device, then ran setup from the Intel download).

Here's a shortcut to the Intel download:

I have installed driver from intel's website, but the camera doesn't show up on device manager. AMCap doesn't work too.
