    Hello,

I have a problem with my screen on my Notebook Asus S96S and I can't figure it out...
This is my problem: The screen does not turn on when I start the laptop.

    This is what happened:
    - I turned on the notebook and it worked normally. (Connected to power from the net)
    - After using it 30 minutes I closed the lid.
    - Opened the lid again (screen worked), used Windows Key + L to logoff account but notebook stays running.
    - Closed the lid again.
    - After a few minutes I turned off the electricity that feeds the notebook so the notebook continued to run on batteries. (forgot that the notebook was on)
    - After 2 hours I returned (still forgot that I left the notebook on), probably by now the notebook is almost out of power or nearly.
    - I turned on the electricity that feeds the notebook.
    - I opened the lid (screen did not show). Pressed the power button thinking I am going to turn it on, then I remembered I left it on so I turned the notebook off by holding the power button of the laptop (it always happens that my screen won't turn back on if I left the notebook on with closed lid for a long time when running on batteries).
    - Now where the problem starts: after starting the laptop again the screen stays pure black, I hear the fan going and 2 lights show (recharging and that it's on), my mouse connected with USB to the notebook also lights up. Basicly the only thing that's different from a normal start up is that the screen won't show.

    please help.

    Regards Roskif

Also a thing is that the capslock and numlock buttons on my keyboard does not turn on/off the light indicator of those buttons. Personally I think maybe the laptop thinks the lid is always down or something
