I seen the S96J under many brands, such as ABS and IBUYPOWER. So I was wondering, is it any different getting it as an ASUS?

s96j is made one way and one way only. The only thing you can do to it is paint it and swap the screens and add bluetooth. I am about 99.99% sure none of the companies you mentioned are capable of doing anything but paint.

Yep, listen to eddie, he knows his stuff.

The second difference would probably be service, buying from different retailers give you different customer service help. Look for which is best for you.
