    Hi everyone,

I've done a bit of searching on this forum about this problem already but couldn't find anything. Whenever I'm on battery power, and specifically in modes that lower my screen brightness (like Power Saving or Balanced) I've noticed after 3 or 5 minutes of idle time that my screen brightness will increase to 50% (and if left for another 3 or 5 minutes to 100%). As you may have guessed this is quite frustrating, as I keep having to manually lower the brightness back down when I'm trying to save battery. It's almost as if instead of turning the screen off after idling it increases the brightness instead.

I uninstalled Power4Gear thinking that may have been the culprit but it still does it using just the standard Windows power options. I've also set it to never turn off the screen when idling, but that did nothing either. Does anyone know what could be causing this and possible steps to resolve?
