Was wondering where you can get a WSXGA screen to upgrade the WXGA that this laptop usually comes with. There seems to be a A6Ja with the higher spec screen but was not available when I bought mine.
Asus does not provide an upgrade path and in fact as they do not make the screens they really aren't the right people to ask in the first place.

But swapping out a screen can be expensive and a very tough job to do. U have to also make sure that the connectors are the same in the new screen.

    Hi,
Just registered, but have been coming to the forum since last year when I was looking for a new laptop.
Since then I have gained some experience on this subject.
As mentioned in the Z71V topics - I also have upgraded the LCD panel in my Z71V to a WUXGA screen.

I have since found that the 15.4" lcd is somewhat of a industry standard. There's small differences between the type of screens (gloss, non-gloss for instance).

Please be aware when upgrading: When I tried to upgrade the broken WXGA screen on my M6Ne for a WSXGA lcd - the picture was garbled. As it turns out thelcd cable also needs to be upgraded. This item is not available in The Netherlands. Thankfully my aunt in SF could get it for me at Asus's estore.

Perhaps LCD screen can be found on Ebay cheaper. I hope this is of some help to you.

    Edit: grammar check.
