I just got a Asus laptop today, the new U31JG. I installed a clean copy of Windows 7 Home Premium x64, and then Power4Gear, and updated drivers, that's all there is.

The screensaver doesn't start even after the 2min inactivity. Tried changing different power saving modes, it does not help. Only way to start it is to preview it.

Has anyone else had this issue?

IF you open control panel - personalization - what screen saver is selected? If the one selected does not work try a different one.
Also try one of the bulit in windows power modes like balanced or power saver just to isolate the issue.
